1. Try not to use newspapers
Calligraphy works are generally written on rice paper, because rice paper is good at expressing the dry, wet and dull color of ink. However, the raw material of rice paper is sandalwood bark, and the production process is complicated. The ancients have a saying that "a piece of paper is not easy, unprepared seventy-two", so the price of rice paper is expensive. Beginning to learn Chinese calligraphy generally use book paper, raw edge paper and other inexpensive paper.
Many book lovers may use old newspapers at home to write in order to save money, but today's newspaper paper is not suitable for practicing calligraphy, Xiaobian remember when I was a child, the paper of the newspaper is relatively thick and the surface has a small plush, such newspaper calligraphy is actually OK, and now there is no newspaper printed with such paper. Therefore, it is not recommended to use newspaper to practice Chinese calligraphy. In addition, smooth and white paper such as coated paper and Daolin paper should not be used to practice calligraphy, because the paper is too smooth, the words are easy to float, and it is not conducive to writing some strokes.
Second, use bamboo paper
The so-called bamboo paper, that is, the paper made of tender bamboo as raw materials, also has the following reasons: first, bamboo paper is cheaper than rice paper, but handmade bamboo paper is more expensive than mechanical paper; Two, enough, do not worry about out of stock, bamboo is New Year after year; Third, handmade bamboo paper is generally small, can be used directly without cutting; Fourth, although it is also bamboo paper, book paper is generally not used in the beginning, the quality is uneven, fifth, the beginning of the manual raw paper can generally be used, of course, in the view of Xiaobian, some non-ink, wrinkle-free mechanism raw paper is also very good.
