The role of the HydrapurgeⅠ Coarse Sorter is to quickly separate those impurities of larger sizes and significantly different from fibers through a specific working mechanism. These impurities may include large pieces of plastic, incompletely crushed wood blocks, large fiber clusters, and even some metal fragments, etc.

 

This coarse sorter usually adopts the principle of physical screening, which may combine mechanical vibration, air flow action, or hydraulic scouring, etc. By adjusting parameters such as the screening aperture, vibration frequency, air flow speed, or water flow pressure, impurities can be effectively removed from the pulp raw materials.

 

The use of the HydrapurgeⅠ Coarse Sorter can significantly improve the efficiency and quality of the subsequent papermaking processes. It reduces the wear and blockage of impurities on subsequent equipment and lowers the incidence of production failures. Working Principle

 

1.Gravity Sedimentation

Fully utilize the physical characteristic of the difference in sedimentation velocities of impurities and fibers under the action of gravity. Heavier impurities, such as sand, stones, and metal particles, as well as relatively coarse and tightly entangled fiber bundles, will sediment to the bottom more quickly due to their larger masses. In contrast, lighter and dispersed fibers can remain suspended in the slurry for a longer time, thereby achieving an initial separation effect.

 

2.Screening Separation

Equipped with screens of specific pore size, shape, and material. These screens are meticulously designed to only allow fine fibers, fiber fragments, and fine impurities that meet the requirements to pass through, while effectively blocking larger impurities and fiber bundles. The screening effect of the screens further precisely separates different components in the pulp, improving the purity and uniformity of the pulp.

 

3.Water Flow Flushing

By introducing a water flow of a certain pressure and flow rate to continuously and purposefully flush the screens and materials. This not only helps to remove impurities and fiber residues attached to the screens and prevent screen clogging, thereby maintaining the efficiency and continuity of the screening process, but also assists in smoothly carrying out the separated impurities from the system, improving the overall purification effect.

 

Structural Components

 

1.Feed System

Comprises a feed pipeline and a uniform distribution device. The feed pipeline is responsible for stably transporting the pulp to be treated from the upstream process to the interior of the coarse selector. Its design typically considers the principles of fluid dynamics to reduce the influence of turbulence and pressure fluctuations on the pulp quality. The uniform distribution device ensures that the pulp can be spread evenly and stably in the working area of the coarse selector, avoiding local concentration or uneven feeding, thereby ensuring the consistency and stability of the screening process.

 

2.Screening Chamber

Is the core working area of the coarse selector, usually with a certain volume and specific shape to accommodate the pulp and provide sufficient space for the screening and separation process. The interior of the chamber is equipped with screens and is designed with reasonable flow channels and diversion structures to guide the pulp to flow along the predetermined path within the chamber, ensuring that each part of the pulp can be fully processed.

 

3.Screen Assembly

Composed of multiple layers of screens of different pore sizes and materials to achieve graded screening. The supporting structure of the screens is robust and durable, capable of withstanding the pressure and friction during the pulp flow and screening process. At the same time, the installation and replacement of the screens are designed to be convenient and quick, facilitating maintenance and upkeep.

 

4.Impurity Discharge System

Used to collect and discharge the impurities and fiber bundles that have been screened out. Usually includes collection troughs, conveying pipelines, and discharge ports to ensure that impurities can leave the coarse selector in a timely and smooth manner, avoiding accumulation within the system and affecting normal operation.

 

5.Drive and Transmission System

Composed of components such as motors, reducers, and couplings, providing power for the operation of the coarse selector. The transmission system is designed reasonably to ensure the equipment operates at a stable speed and can be speed-adjusted when necessary to adapt to different production conditions and pulp characteristics.

 

6.Control System

Includes sensors, controllers, and operation interfaces. Sensors monitor key parameters such as feed speed, pressure, and rotational speed in real-time and transmit the data to the controller. The controller analyzes and processes the data based on preset programs and algorithms, and then provides real-time information and control options to the operator through the operation interface, such as adjusting the rotational speed and controlling the feed amount, to achieve precise control and optimized operation of the coarse selector.

Operation and Maintenance Points

 

1.Operation Points

Before starting the equipment, the operator needs to carefully inspect whether each part of the equipment is in a normal state, including the connection of the feed pipeline, the installation of the screens, the lubrication of the drive system, etc.

 

During the startup process, the feed speed and rotational speed should be gradually increased in accordance with the equipment's operating procedures to avoid shock and damage to the equipment caused by sudden loading.

 

During the operation process, closely monitor the various parameters displayed by the control system, such as pressure, flow rate, and rotational speed, to ensure they fluctuate within the normal range. At the same time, timely adjust parameters such as the feed speed and rotational speed according to the characteristics of the pulp and production requirements to achieve the best screening effect.

 

When it is necessary to shut down the equipment, the feed amount and rotational speed should be gradually reduced in accordance with the prescribed sequence, and then the power supply should be turned off to avoid pulp residue and clogging inside the equipment.

 

2.Maintenance Points

Regularly conduct a comprehensive cleaning of the equipment to remove dirt and attachments on the surface, maintaining the cleanliness and good heat dissipation performance of the equipment.

 

Regularly inspect the wear and clogging of the screens, promptly replace severely worn screens and clean clogged screen pores to ensure the screening effect and efficiency.

 

Regularly lubricate and maintain the drive system and transmission components, inspect the tension and wear of belts and chains, and adjust or replace them in a timely manner.

 

Regularly inspect the seals and connection parts of the equipment to ensure there is no leakage or loosening. At the same time, regularly inspect and maintain the electrical control system to ensure its stable performance and safety and reliability.
